THE PROBLEM - Since the late
1980’s, most automobile
and light truck
headlights have been
made out of
polycarbonate, a type of
plastic. This material
gives the auto maker
greater design freedom
than conventional glass
headlights.
Polycarbonate is impact
resistant and easily
formed into complex
shapes.
Unfortunately,
polycarbonate is also
very porous and easily
damaged by ultraviolet
exposure from the sun.
To seal and protect the
polycarbonate, headlight
makers apply a
protective outer coating
during manufacturing. It
is the breakdown of this
coating which causes the
yellowing and cloudiness
of modern headlights.
Until recently, the only
solution was to replace
the entire headlight
assembly, which can
easily cost hundreds of
dollars per lens.

THE
HAZARD - As
headlights
deteriorate, light
is scattered and
is not projected
forward where you
need it. The
ability to see
clearly in front
of you can be
reduced up to 75%
producing a major
safety hazard! This is
especially dangerous
on dark winding roads
or during bad weather.
When headlights get
this bad, many drivers
will continuously
drive with their high
beams on in an attempt
to see where they are
going.
THE
APPEARANCE - Many
times cloudy, foggy or
yellowed headlights are the
only cosmetic blemish on an
otherwise spotless shiny car
or truck. Just like a
spot on a clean white
shirt your attention is
drawn to this blemish.
These unsightly
headlights detract from
a vehicles curb appeal
and can actually
diminish its value.
THE SOLUTION -
Professional Headlight Lens
Restoration
Warning !
NOT ALL
HEADLIGHT RESTORATION IS
THE SAME!
What Makes
Our Headlight
Restoration Service
Different?
Most companies that
restore headlights simply use
sandpaper and a high speed
buffer to buff out your
headlights. Unfortunately this
does nothing for really
restoring your headlights.
They may look better for a
while but other than a
temporary improvement in
looks, all this accomplishes
is increased exposure of your
headlights to more degradation
from the sun. This is because
the sanding and buffing
process removes your factory
applied UV protection layer.
To professionally
restore your headlights to
their original performance
and look requires 3 very
important steps. First the
lens must be
decontaminated by removing
all environmental
contaminates and
neutralizing the oxidizing
process that is currently
happening on the lens at
the molecular level. The
second important thing to
a full restoration is full
removal of the
existing UV hardcoat applied
at the factory, also during
this step any surface
imperfections like sand pits
and other cosmetic damage must
be removed. And the third step
is the lens must be protected
by applying a new hard coat
that will protect the lens
from further oxidation.
Anything short of this is not
a full restoration and will
not have satisfactory long
term results.

1.
We start each
headlight lens
restoration
with a
treatment of
our Unique
"Lens Prep". this
product completely
removes all
environmental
contaminates and
stops the
oxidation reaction
at the chemical
level. Other
systems miss this
important step. It
is critical to
stop this reaction
before proceeding
with the lens
surface
restoration.
2.
Next we wet sand
using our "Lens
Stripper" instead
of water. This aids in the
complete removal
of the factory
lens coating.
Other systems use
only water. Our
"Lens Stripper"
assures complete
removal of the
deteriorated
factory lens
coating. This is
an essential step
in obtaining that
"like new" look.

|
3.
During the
last but most
important step
we apply our
unique UV hard
coat to the
lens. How is
it unique? The
key difference
is the
patented
curing process
of our UV hard
coat. Our lens
coat uses the
moisture in
the air to
initiate a
catalyzed
chemical
reaction.
This means
you get the
durability of a
2 part system
along with it's
associated
"quick cure"
leaving very
little time for
any airborne
contaminates to
get on the
coating before
it dries. The
optical clarity
and shine is
also superior to
other products
on the market.
Many customers say
it looks like the
lens practically
disappears during
the coating
process.
